Every day from March 5th to March 8th between 12.00 and 16.00, KUD Mreža studio (Pešaki building)Computer workshops * "From my own experience and from research findings I can confidently say
that in women-only spaces the participants feel more comfortable to
express themselves (eg ask so called silly questions). In addition the
space is a testing ground, where women can become accustomed to the techie
sub-culture before experiencing it in the "real" or mixed world. When
talking about skill-sharing and learning, a context sensitive, peer
environment generally results in better levels of skills and knowledge
acquisition." * Wednesday, March 5th between 12.00 and 16.00, KUD Mreža studio (Pešaki building)Computer workshop The Computer Hardware Crash Course will consist of taking apart a computer and putting it back together again. Friday, March 7th between 12.00 and 16.00, KUD Mreža studio (Pešaki building)Computer workshop CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) is a simple mechanism for changing the style of a Web document without compromising its structure. This works by separating the visual design elements (fonts, colors, margins, size, background etc) from the structural logic of a Web page and makes it safe to play around with your desired design without messing things up. CSS is a breakthrough in Web design because it also allows developers to control the style and layout of multiple Web pages all at once. As a Web developer you can define a style for each HTML element and apply it to as many Web pages as you want. To make a global change, simply change the style and all elements in your Web page are updated automatically. Interested? Just come and see. The workshop is free, in English and open for women only. Please, let us know until March 2nd that you are coming to: rdece.zore@gmail.com (Subject: CSS workshop).
